On request we can organize many activities to make your stay still more unforgettable:

COOKING LESSON: it will take place in the ancient basement of our structure. The teacher will be a traditional Tuscan host and could help you to prepare delicious typical dishes. The lesson will take about 3 hours and at the end there will be a nice dinner with all the "students", that will eat the dishes prepared by themselves. The dinner menu will be changed every week, but usually you will prepare one of the most famous Italian dish, served with wine straight from our wine celler.

DISCOVERING THE TYPICAL PRODUCTS OF THE MONTALBANO HILLS: we can organize a visit in a farm near us, that produces wine, Vinsanto (the typical dessert Tuscan wine) and extra virgin olive oil. You can see how they produce Vinsanto and all the different phases of its production: in the farm there are more than 600 chestnuts wood kegs, where Vinsanto remains for the fermentation, and other places for the withering of the grapes. At the end of the visit you can taste some of their products and if you wish too you can buy the typical local products directly at the farm, like a “tasty” souvenir for friends or relatives.

RELAX AND WELLNESS: we can offer our guests a coupon for a special discount for the Grotta Giusti Spa, where you could relax using the different wellness treatments for your face and body (mud therapy, ozonised baths in thermal water, massages, inhalation treatment), the steam bath in the old thermal Grotto, or a relaxing day by the outdoor thermal pool with underwater hydro massage in spa water. Alternatively a massage expert can come at the holiday house and you can choose among different treatments: aromatherapy, crystal therapy, plantar reflexology.

PATHWAYS ON THE MONTALBANO HILLS: directly from the holiday house you can easily reach the pathways on the Montalbano Hills, which branch off in the green declivities and in the woods and which lead you in close contact with the nature, surrounded by a charming landscape. After few meters you are already in the Medicean Barco Reale, a game preserve, founded officially by the Grand Duke Ferdinando II de' Medici on the 17th May 1626. The Grand Duke decided to realize this reserve to have at his disposal an area, which safeguarded the games and was always available for the hunts organized by the Medicean family. We can also organize a trekking excursion with an expert guide, who will explain you what you will see along the way with historic and environmental information. The walks are easy and it is not required physical fitness, so the beginners can also take part in the excursion. It is organized with a minimum of 8 people. Nearby the holiday house the pathways in the surrounding woods can also be used for bicycle excursion or guided horse riding. In this case we can provide an expert guide, who will lead you during this experience and for the beginners it is also possible to take a riding lessons by the horsemanship with a trainer.

ART AND CULTURE: we can organize guided tours to discover:
Florence, historic and art city but also with many fashion shops, brisk café and typical wine bar.
Pistoia, a little town but with a historical so charming centre with its narrow paved streets, and its mysterious foreshortening, that will lead you to the spacious Piazza del Duomo. The town becomes animated on Thursday and Saturday, when the morning market takes place along all the main streets with its colours, its smells and the sounds of the people.
